Enrique Garcia (1868 - 1922)
Spain
Enrique García, who became part of the Barcelona guitar-making tradition, learned guitar making from his father and worked alongside Manuel Ramírez. In 1893, he moved from Madrid to Barcelona and established his own workshop, where he began collaborating with furniture maker Francisco Simplicio. His instruments were also based on Torres' designs, and he created many works that gradually transformed Torres' models into his own unique designs, which boasted excellent aesthetics and proportions and achieved great success.
