Angela Waltner (1970 - Current)
Germany
Born in Oberstaufen, southern Germany, in 1970, Angela Waltner studied at the luthier school in Mittenwald from 1992 to 1995. After graduating, she dedicated two years to the restoration of 19th-century French guitars. In 1997, she began studying instrument making at the Westsächsische Hochschule Zwickau, and received her Master Craftsman certification from the Chemnitz Chamber of Trade. Angela Waltner combines technical craftsmanship with a scientific understanding, which she incorporates into the design of her instruments. She continuously conducts research into sound and has developed her own unique guitar model with three distinct characteristics. She is particularly well-known for her "FABS" (Free Adjustable Bridge System), which ensures that each string maintains perfect tuning under all circumstances.
