Hyeonggeon Lee

Germany

He graduated from the guitar-making program at the Luthier School in Germany in 2024, obtained his Meister qualification, and returned to Korea to continue his craftsmanship. His guitars are influenced by the works of Antonio Marin Montero and Robert Bouchet, and he has studied their structural features and gathered materials for research. As a result, his guitars feature structural elements such as five braces, a transverse reinforcement beneath the bridge, and an arched tunnel reinforcement. Like the instruments of Montero and Bouchet, his guitars have a unique frequency of 103Hz, which is slightly lower than G#, giving them a bright, light, and smooth tone. In terms of design, he has added a slight modification to Bouchet's head, and the rosette is a mosaic he designed and crafted himself.
