Yunah Park (1982 - Current)
Spain
Unusually, she started with guitar as a performer rather than a maker. She first encountered the guitar in her teenage years and immediately sensed that it would become a lifelong companion. After majoring in classical guitar in Korea, she continued her studies at the Alicante Conservatory in Spain. There, she met Angel Benito Aguado, and under his strict guidance, she learned the techniques of Spanish guitar making. After years of training, she began making guitars of her own. Her instruments, influenced by her mentor Angel, exhibit a quick responsiveness and a vibrant, modern tone, yet retain the traditional Spanish sound. With a deep connection to the Spanish guitar tone that first drew her into the world of guitar, Yunah's work features comfortable playability, rich bass, and bright, singing trebles. Her guitars are characterized by a strong foundation in both appearance and detail, and their sound reveals a powerful delicacy.
