Carlos Juan Busquiel (1980 - Current)

Spain

Carlos Juan Busquiel, who played the violin at the conservatory, began playing guitar at the age of 12. Although he majored in music at university, he became fascinated with instrument making and taught himself how to create electric violins. While continuing to make violins, he met guitarist Rafael Lopez Porras, which deepened his passion for the art of the guitar. He then studied under the master luthier José Luis Romanillos, further developing his understanding of the Spanish guitar and learning traditional building techniques based on the Torres guitar. Additionally, through studying various styles from different eras and makers (such as Manuel Ramírez, Santos Hernández, and Enrique García), he absorbed the strengths of various models and continues his work in guitar making.
