Choi, Moonseok (1976 ~ Current)
Korea, Sweden
Having been interested in violin making since childhood, he came across information about Italian instrument-making schools in the string instrument magazine "Strad," which sparked his decision to study abroad. During this time, his interest expanded to guitar making, and he began learning under master guitar maker Um Tae-chang. He spent long periods of apprenticeship at both Um Tae-chang's workshop in Korea and Hanika Guitars in Germany. To deepen his theoretical knowledge, he also obtained a degree in related studies through a thesis in Germany. Returning to Korea in 2011, he continued his work, creating guitars known for their sculptural beauty in mosaic designs and powerful volumes, while ensuring each note is distinctly rendered.
